This Toshiba laptop is made from hardware supplied by SGS, Intel, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Agere and Toshiba. The SGS Fingerprint Reader Biometric hardware is also found in 81 other systems. The Network hardware was made by Intel, called the golan pro wireless 3945abg device. As well as the Toshiba Portege M400-S5032, Intel have made this device for use in 28 similar systems. The Biometric device is managed by fingerprint reader. Mobile 945gm gms 943 940gml express integrated is the device that controls the graphics.

Hd audio has n10 ich 7 high definition controller and the sigmatel high definition audio. Ieee 1394 runs on pcixx12 ohci compliant ieee 1394 host controller.

The Modem device is managed by toshiba software modem. Network has 82573l gigabit ethernet and the golan pro wireless 3945abg. The Pcmcia system makes use of the pcixx12 cardbus device. Sd host controllers runs on pcixx12 sda standard compliant sd host controller.

The Storage is reported to use 3 different devices, the transmemory usb flash drive, 82801g ide ich7 and the 82801gbm ghm sata ahci ich7.
