This Toshiba laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, Conexant, O2 Micro, Chicony Electronics, Marvell Technology, Realtek and Kingston. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 87 other systems. The Imaging hardware was made by Chicony Electronics, called the usb camera device. As well as the Toshiba Equium U400-145, Chicony Electronics have made this device for use in 5 similar systems. The Graphics device is managed by mobile gm965 gl960 integrated. The Toshiba Equium U400-145Hd audio device is named the 82801h hd controller ich8 and the high definition audio.

The Ieee 1394 system makes use of the firewire ieee 1394 device. Imaging runs on usb camera. The Modem device is managed by high definition audio.

Network has 88e8040t pci e fast ethernet marvell and the rtl8187b wireless. The Storage is reported to use 3 different devices, the usb flash drive, 82801hbm hem ide ich8m ich8m e and the 82801hbm hem sata ahci ich8m e.
