This Sony laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, nVidia, Microsoft, Logitech, C-Media, Texas Instruments, Ricoh, Conexant, Marvell Technology, Western Digital and Genesys Logic. The Genesys Logic USB 4 Port HUB System hardware is also found in 128 other systems. The Storage hardware was made by Western Digital, called the passport external hdd device. As well as the Sony Vaio PCG-812, Western Digital have made this device for use in 64 similar systems. The Graphics device is managed by geforce 8400m gt g86. The Sony Vaio PCG-812Hd audio device is named the 82801h hd controller ich8 and the sigmatel high definition audio.

Human interface has mx revolution g7 cordless mouse and the audio adapter. Ieee 1394 runs on pcixx12 ohci compliant ieee 1394 host controller.

The Imaging device is managed by r5u870 visual communication camera vgp vcc6. Hdaudio sof t v92 tdata fax modem smartcp is the device that controls the modem. Network has 88e8055 pci e gigabit ethernet and the kedron pro wireless 4965 ag agn. Pcmcia runs on pcixx12 cardbus.

The Storage is reported to use 3 different devices, the passport external hdd, 82801hbm hem ide ich8m ich8m e and the 82801hbm hem sata ahci ich8m e.
