This Sony laptop is made from hardware supplied by SiS, VIA, Realtek, Intersil, ENE Technology and JMicron. The Realtek RTL 8139 8139C 8139C Network hardware is also found in 78 other systems. The Storage hardware was made by JMicron, called the jm20337 hi speed usb to sata pata combo bridge device. As well as the Sony RM-VC10E, JMicron have made this device for use in 28 similar systems. The Audio device is managed by ac 97 sound controller. 65x m650 740 pci vga display adapter is the device that controls the graphics.

The Ieee 1394 system makes use of the fire ii ohci controller vt6306 7 8 device. Modem runs on ac 97 modem controller.

Network has rtl 8139 8139c 8139c and the prism 25 wavelan chipset. Cb1420 cardbus is the device that controls the pcmcia. The Storage system makes use of the jm20337 hi speed usb to sata pata combo bridge device.
