This Sony laptop is made from hardware supplied by SiS, nVidia, IBM, Ricoh, Atheros and Sony. The Sony Memory Stick Reader Writer System hardware is also found in 27 other systems. The Graphics hardware was made by nVidia, called the geforce fx go5600 nv31m device. As well as the Sony PCG-GRT916Z, nVidia have made this device for use in 1 similar systems. The Audio device is managed by ac 97 sound controller. Geforce fx go5600 nv31m is the device that controls the graphics.

The Human interface system makes use of the optical travel mouse device. Ieee 1394 runs on r5c551 ieee 1394 controller.

The Modem device is managed by ac 97 modem controller. Network has 900 pci fast ethernet and the ar5001x wireless. The Pcmcia system makes use of the rl5c476 ii device.
