This Sony laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, Alps Electric, ATI, Ricoh and Sony. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 87 other systems. The Graphics hardware was made by ATI, called the radeon mobility m6 ly device. As well as the Sony PCG-591L, ATI have made this device for use in 2 similar systems. The Audio device is managed by 82801db dbl dbm ac97 sound ich4 ich4 l ich4 m. Bluetooth is the device that controls the bluetooth.

The Graphics system makes use of the radeon mobility m6 ly device. Ieee 1394 runs on r5c551 ieee 1394 controller.

The Modem device is managed by 82801db dbl dbm ac97 modem ich4 ich4 l ich4 m. Network has 82801db pro 100 ve ethernet mob and the pro wireless 2100 3b mini pci. The Pcmcia system makes use of the rl5c475 device. Storage runs on 82801dbm ide ich4 m.
