This LG laptop is made from hardware supplied by ATI, Texas Instruments, Intel, Microsoft, Agere, Marvell Technology and Western Digital. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 87 other systems. The Storage hardware was made by Western Digital, called the my passport essential se external hdd device. As well as the LG LS55 Express, Western Digital have made this device for use in 26 similar systems. The graphics system uses two devices, the mobility radeon x300 m22 and the pci 7420 7620 cardbus 1394a 2000 ohci sd ms pro controller.

The LG LS55 ExpressHd audio device is named the 82801fb fbm fr fw frw high definition controller ich6 and the high definition audio.

The Ieee 1394 system makes use of the pci7x20 1394a 2000 ohci two port phy link layer device. Modem runs on agere systems hda modem. Network has 88e8036 pci e fast ethernet marvell and the calexico2 pro wireless 2200bg. Pci7420 cardbus controller is the device that controls the pcmcia.
