This IBM laptop is made from hardware supplied by SGS, Broadcom, Intel, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Microdia and Conexant. The SGS Fingerprint Reader Biometric hardware is also found in 81 other systems. The Network hardware was made by Intel, called the golan pro wireless 3945abg device. As well as the IBM ThinkPad Z61t, Intel have made this device for use in 16 similar systems. The Biometric device is managed by fingerprint reader. Bluetooth controller is the device that controls the bluetooth.

The Graphics system makes use of the mobile 945gm gms 943 940gml express integrated device. Hd audio has high definition audio and the n10 ich 7 high definition controller.

Ieee 1394 runs on pcixx12 ohci compliant ieee 1394 host controller. The Imaging device is managed by pc camera. Thinkpad modem is the device that controls the modem. Network has netxtreme bcm5752 gigabit ethernet pci express and the golan pro wireless 3945abg.

Pcmcia runs on pcixx12 cardbus. The Sd host controllers device is managed by pcixx12 sda standard compliant sd host controller. Storage has 82801gbm ghm sata ahci ich7 and the 82801g ide ich7.
