This IBM laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, ATI, Atheros and Texas Instruments. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 86 other systems. The PCMCIA hardware was made by Texas Instruments, called the pci1520 pc card cardbus device. As well as the IBM ThinkPad T40p, Texas Instruments have made this device for use in 3 similar systems. The Audio device is managed by 82801db dbl dbm ac97 sound ich4 ich4 l ich4 m. Mobility firegl 9000 radeon rv250 is the device that controls the graphics.

The Modem system makes use of the 82801db dbl dbm ac97 modem ich4 ich4 l ich4 m device. Network has ar5211ab nic and the 82540ep gigabit ethernet mobile.

Pcmcia runs on pci1520 pc card cardbus. The Storage device is managed by 82801dbm ide ich4 m.
