This IBM laptop is made from hardware supplied by ATI, Ricoh, Intel, Ralink, Intersil and NEC. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 87 other systems. The Network hardware was made by Intel, called the 82801cam pro 100 ve lom ethernet ich3 device. As well as the IBM ThinkPad A31P, Intel have made this device for use in 4 similar systems. The Graphics device is managed by mobility firegl 7800 m7 radeon rv200 lx. R5c551 ieee 1394 controller is the device that controls the ieee 1394.

The Modem system makes use of the 82801ca cam ac97 modem device. Multimedia runs on 82801ca cam ac97 audio controller.

The Network is reported to use 4 different devices, the rt2870 rt3070 wireless, calexico2 pro wireless 2200bg, 82801cam pro 100 ve lom ethernet ich3 and the prism 25 wavelan chipset. Rl5c476 ii is the device that controls the pcmcia. The Storage system makes use of the 82801cam ide u100 device.
