This Acer laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, Microsoft, Ricoh, Z-Star Microelectronics, Motorola, Atheros and Realtek. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 87 other systems. The Network hardware was made by Atheros, called the ar242x ar542x wireless pci express device. As well as the Acer Aspire 3682NWXMi, Atheros have made this device for use in 9 similar systems. The Audio device is managed by n10 ich 7 family high definition. Mobile 945gm gms 943 940gml express integrated is the device that controls the graphics.

The Hd audio system makes use of the soundmax integrated digital hd audio device. Ieee 1394 runs on r5c551 ieee 1394 controller.

The Imaging device is managed by vimicro generic vc0321 camera. Motorola sm56 data fax modem is the device that controls the modem. Network has ar242x ar542x wireless pci express and the rtl8111 8168b pci express gigabit ethernet. The sd host controllers system uses two devices, the r5c822 sd sdio mmc ms mspro host adapter and the xd picture card controller.

Smart card readers runs on r5c843 mmc host controller. The Storage device is managed by 82801g ide ich7.
