This Acer laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, Realtek, A4 Tech, Acer, Agere, Broadcom and Atheros. The A4 Tech Port Mouse Human Interface hardware is also found in 101 other systems. The Network hardware was made by Atheros, called the ar242x ar542x wireless pci express device. As well as the Acer Aspire 2920Z, Atheros have made this device for use in 44 similar systems. The graphics system uses two devices, the mobile gm965 gl960 integrated and the mobile gm965 gl960 integrated.

The Acer Aspire 2920ZHd audio device is named the 82801h hd controller ich8 and the high definition audio.

The Human interface system makes use of the port mouse device. Imaging runs on crystal eye webcam. The Modem device is managed by agere systems hda modem. The Network is reported to use 3 different devices, the netlink bcm5787m gigabit ethernet pci express, ar242x ar542x wireless pci express and the bcm4311 wlan.

The Storage is reported to use 3 different devices, the 82801hbm hem ide ich8m ich8m e, 82801hbm hem sata ahci ich8m e and the 82801hbm hem sata ide ich8m ich8m e.
