This Acer laptop is made from hardware supplied by Intel, Realtek, Conexant, Texas Instruments and Toshiba. The Intel 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge System hardware is also found in 87 other systems. The Storage hardware was made by Toshiba, called the datatraveler usb flash drive device. As well as the Acer Aspire 1642WLMi, Toshiba have made this device for use in 45 similar systems. The graphics system uses two devices, the mobile 915gm gms 910gml express and the mobile 915gm gms 910gml express.

The Acer Aspire 1642WLMiHd audio device is named the high definition audio and the 82801fb fbm fr fw frw high definition controller ich6.

The Modem system makes use of the hda cx11254 soft modem device. Network has rtl 8139 8139c 8139c and the calexico2 pro wireless 2200bg. Pcmcia runs on pci1510 pc card cardbus. The Acer Aspire 1642WLMiStorage device is named the 82801fb fbm fr fw frw ide ich6 and the datatraveler usb flash drive.
